LESSON ONE- NOTES
Ok, so this part is pretty easy and should take 30 minutes.
Just memorize the order of these 12 notes.
Do you see the black keys? See how they repeat, 2 and 3 then 2 and 3?
Remember, the C Note is always on the Left of the 2 black keys.
Every time you see the 2 black keys, the C is on the left.
Start on C and memorize all of the keys on the piano.
30 minutes.

LESSON TWO- CHORDS
Now comes the fun part, playing Chords (KORDS).
Chords are easy you just have to know what Fingers to use.
Look at the drawing to see which Fingers you have to use.
Now comes the fun part, playing Chords (KORDS).
Chords are easy you just have to know what Fingers to use.
Look at the drawing to see which Fingers you have to use.
There are TWO types of Chords- Major and Minor.
We will begin with Major Chords.
Major(regular) Chords-
If you want to play a MAJOR or regular chord, you go like this (look at the picture above first)
-First, put both Root Fingers on the SAME NOTE, but different keys, not on the same key.
So, Left Hand Root Finger (ring finger) on C and Right Hand Root Finger (thumb) on another C.
-Second, you count. If Root FInger is key #1, then your index fingers go on key #5- do not skip the black keys!
-Last, count again. If index fingers are on keys #5 then the Left Hand Thumb and Right Hand Ring Finger will go on key #8. Again, do not skip the black keys!
Thats it! If you press all your fingers down, thats a MAJOR chord! Congratulations!:)
Minor Chords(m)-
Minor Chords have a small m after them. Like this Am, Bm, Cm, and so on. Thats how you know they are Minor Chords. If they dont have an 'm' they are regular Major chords.
Ok, so you learned how to play Major Chords, now we learn to play Minor Chords.
So just repeat the exact process above. Except, instead of putting your index fingers on the #5 keys, put them on the #4 keys. Thats it!
So, ROOT Fingers are #1, Index Fingers are #4 and Last Fingers are #8 like before.
Thats it! Dont skip the black keys when you count please. :)
LESSON THREE- CHORD SHAPES
Ok, so if you practice, you will see an interesting pattern. Many Chords have the exact same HAND SHAPE.
I will teach you a few HAND SHAPES and you can use those HAND SHAPES for many chords.
First Chord Shape- C
Notice, they are all White Keys and are in a straight line. (See the pic below)
Start with your LEFT HAND
Pick a ROOT NOTE with your Left Hand Ring Finger and Start there- Pick ONE of these: C,D,E,F,G,A
NOW.....
SKIP a White Note
PLAY the Next White note.
SKIP another white note
PLAY the next White note.
Now COPY the same notes with your Right Hand
That's it!
Easy right.
Now you can use that Same Pattern (Play one, skip one, play one, skip one, play one) to play SIX CHORDS!! Cool right.
If you start on C, the chord is C
If you start on D, the chord is Dm
If you start on E, the chord is Em
If you start on F, the chord is F
If you start on G, the chord is G
If you start on A, the chord is Am.
TRY ALL OF THEM NOW :).

If you start on F, the chord is F
If you start on G, the chord is G

CHORD SHAPE D
Notice they all have a Triangle shape and have a Black Key at the top.
Choose One ROOT Note (D, A or E)
PLAY White ROOT Note (note #1)
PLAY Black key (note #5 at top)
PLAY White key (note #8)
Notice they all have a Triangle shape and have a Black Key at the top.
Choose One ROOT Note (D, A or E)
PLAY White ROOT Note (note #1)
PLAY Black key (note #5 at top)
PLAY White key (note #8)
CHORD SHAPE C#
Notice these all have an Upsidedown Triangle shape
ROOT NOTE Black key (key #1)
White key (key #5)
Black key again (key #8)
Notice these all have an Upsidedown Triangle shape
ROOT NOTE Black key (key #1)
White key (key #5)
Black key again (key #8)
Ebm and F#
Ebm and F# are easy to see why they go together,
they both use only Black keys and in a straight line. :)

B and Bb
These are a little tricky because they're a little weird but with some practice you'll be ok.
Try them out now. :)

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
If you have gotten this far, you are doing amazing!
I have very good news for you.
There are only 24 CHORDS that you must learn to play basically any worship song you know and you have just learned 16!
The next 8 are super easy so dont worry!

The next 8 are super easy so dont worry!
BUT FIRST... LETS SEE WHAT YOU'VE ACCOMPLISHED- THANK GOD. :)
So, like I said there are only 24 Chords that you must know.
The ones you know have a + next to them.
+C +F#
Cm F#m
+C# +G
C#m Gm
+D +G#
+Dm G#m
+Eb +A
+Ebm +Am
+E +Bb
+Em Bbm
+F +B
Fm Bm
SO THAT LEAVES...
Cm, C#m, Fm, F#m, Gm, G#m, Bbm, Bm
NOTICE ANYTHING???
They're all MINORS!
THATS GOOD NEWS!
Remember, MINOR Chords are just Regular Major chords with the index fingers on key #4 instead of key #5.
So, if you know the Regular Major version of C, C#,F, F#, G, G#, Bb, and B (which you do by this point) all you have to do is move your Index Fingers over ONE KEY to the LEFT and thats it! You have the MINOR versions of those same chords.
So again, a C is 1-5-8 and a Cm is 1-4-8. So if a C Chord is made up of the notes C-E-G
then a Cm Chord will be... C-Eb-G.. get it. I hope so. :)
If not, thats ok. I will give you the notes below:
Cm------ C-Eb-G
C#m---- C#-E-G#
Fm------- F-G#-C
F#m----- F#-A-C#
Gm------ G-Bb-D
G#m---- G#-b-Eb
Bbm---- Bb-C#-F
Bm------ B-D-F#
THATS IT! THANK GOD!
Once you've learned these last 8 Chords, you have learned ALL 24!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Now you can play any worship song you'd like!
Wasn't that easy! :)
Ok, so there's more for you to learn, but at least you have accomplished what many people only dream of. GOD has blessed you and you have put in much work. Be proud of what GOD has helped you learn. Also, say a prayer of thanks and be sure to ask for more wisdom and guidance so that you can continue to learn and grow as HE wills it. Bye for now.
